Bookends

When Carly was born with dark hair, the first thing that we thought of was, "Where in the heck did this come from?" We've had 2 weeks now to get used to the nonconformist in the family.

The second thought that went thru the mind was "She certainly is different from the other two." Dark hair, feed me/burp me/change me attitude (OK, this is not so different from the other two), decent sleeper (yes, we know this can and WILL change). But with all the differences between all three kids, Kady being the ever so girly girl, Cam being a man's boy, and Carly being, well, right now she is just being.

A Rose between 2 Thorns? I tend to think not. A mouse between 2 Bulls? [as in a "Bull in a China Shop"], I tend to think so. You be the judge......

Potential OU student?

Recently it was published that Ohio University was ranked as the #2 party school. Boy are we in trouble. Kristin is an OU alumni and she has been pushing hard for all of our kids to go there for college. I am a Penn State alumni and have frequently countered with "nope, Penn State is better!" I've even offered the compromise that the girls can go to OU and Camden go to Penn State. I'm sure we'll continue the discussion as the kids grow. AND eventually we'll have to bring into the discussion HOW THE HECK WE'RE GOING TO PAY FOR ALL THAT COLLEGE!!!

In the meantime, the party seems to be at Commonwealth Blvd. Both Kristin and I are sure we don't get much sleep!!!!! Somebody always seems to be awake and needing attention - day and night!

Home now...

Well, Carly is at home, resting, obviously....

She doesn't know what she's in for!!

All went well while at the hospital. Currently she's eating approx. every 4 hours - and quite frankly we'd like to keep it that way. We'll see...

Mom's all right too. Already planning a return day to work [just can't keep her away, can we?]

YES, SHE'S ARRIVED........
YES, the parents have a challenge ahead of them w/3 kids under 4yrs old!!!!

Wt = 7lbs 12 oz
length = 20 inches

other attributes:
LOTS OF HAIR!!!!!! you should be able to see what I mean in the "checkin temp" and "Close up" pictures.
Looks like ==> Kady when she was born [according to Kristin], except for the DARK hair.

Took to bottle feeding quickly & efficiently!

Mom & Carly should be HOME Monday!! [tomorrow]
